 HCSF URGES CIVIL SERVANTS TO EMBRACE THE WALKING-JOGGING MONTHLY EXERCISE TO KEEP FIT.



The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita has urged Federal Civil Servants to key into the walking and Jogging exercise to keep fit. She stated that healthy living is key to productivity.

Oyo-Ita gave this advice during the October 2018 edition of the Monthly Walking and Jogging Exercise organised by the Federation of Public Service Games Association (FEPSGA) for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). The exercise took place at the National Stadium on Saturday, 27th October 2018 in Abuja.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation represented by the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office, (SWO) in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack noted that, Walking/Jogging unlike other forms of exercises, does not require any special equipment or training, making it easy for everyone to do.

HCSF further stated that walking/Jogging is a great way to improve or maintain overall health and that physical activity does not have to be vigorous or done for a long period in order to improve health. She enjoined Civil Servants to form the habit of regular exercising.

Speaking earlier, the National President of FEPSGA, Mr Adugu Amege thanked the HCSF for her support to the Association and for the regular participation of the staff of OHCSF in the monthly exercise. At the end of the exercise, medals were given to some teams for their performance, they are:-

  

TIMELY ARRIVAL  

Ø  1st price went to – Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). 

Ø  2nd price went to – Federal Ministry of Environment (FME). 

Ø  3rd price went to – National Industrial Court of Nigeria (Nat. Ind. Court of Nigeria

  

 BEST BEHAVED 

Ø  1st price – Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF). 

Ø  2nd price – Federal Ministry of Science and Technology (FMS&T) 

Ø  3rd price – Federal Ministry of Communications (FMOC).

  

     HIGHEST (NOS) IN ATTENDANCE  

 Ø  1st price went to – Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF). 

Ø  2nd price went to – Budget Office of the Federation (BOF). 

Ø  3rd price went to – Federal Ministry of Defence (FMOD).
