Mrs. Winifred stressed that the training will be in the areas of SMART-P and LEAD-P. And the MDIs are expected to provide the resources facilities for the training. The Head of Service added that the development will also give the MDIs the opportunity to improve and develop.

She further added that it will be an opportunity for the MDIs to key into the training programmes of the Federal Government.

Speaking earlier the Permanent Secretary, Service Policy and Strategy Office Dr. Magdalene Ajani, said the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP)  of the Office of the Head of the  Civil Service of the Federation for 2017-2020, charted a new course for the service which is  intended to make the service to be Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible and Citizen-Centered.

She added that one of the milestone recorded in the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan is the training need assessment among Civil Servants to identify the skills gap and this was developed by the Project Management Team.
