Overview
The General Services Department under the Common Services Office of the OHCSF is the department
responsible for the routine maintenance and servicing of all moveable and immoveable assets of the OHCSF.
The principal objective of the department is to provide a conducive and friendly environment for government
business for optimal service delivery and general well-being of staff. A Director heads the department which
is made up of five divisions. The five divisions are:
– Stores
– Security
– Transport
– Estate
– Maintenance
Departmental Activities
- Management and supervision of cleaning service providers
- Processing payment for service providers
- Quarterly disinfection of the office premises
- Environmental management
- Allocation of offices and business outlets within the complex – phases ii & iii
- Management, supervision, and issuance of keys to applicants who want to use government properties
within the complex
- Procurement of supplies
- Requisition of stores
- Registration of all new vehicles and renewal of documents for old vehicles
- Documentation and allocation of vehicles
- Fuelling of Project/Utility Vehicles
- Provide administrative services to transport staff and management in general
- Vehicle maintenance
- Procurement of vehicles
- Boarding/disposal of unserviceable vehicles
- Repair of faulty equipment and installation of new equipment
- Sourcing of security operatives
- Deployment of security operatives
- Redeployment of security operatives
- Processing of allowances for security operatives
- Training of security operatives
- Quarterly verification exercise for security operatives
- Supervision of goods going in and out of the complex
