Overview:
The Infrastructure Management Department is one of the three departments under the Special Duties Office
in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. Its mandate is to facilitate, coordinate and
promote the deployment of robust facilities/infrastructures in a sustainable and most effective manner in
order to support the Nigeria Civil Service and Nigeria’s economic growth and development.
The Department has two divisions:
– Environmental/Facility Management
– Public Private Partnership
1.1. Departmental Activities
The Following are the departmental activities of the Infrastructure Management Department:
- Ensure effective management of office facilities in the Federal Secretariat Complexes in the country
- Conduct regular inspection of facilities in the Federal Secretariat Complexes in the country
- Ensure that projects in the OHCSF are in line with the approved mandate
- Coordinate the effective maintenance of the aesthetics of the infrastructural facilities in the Federal
Secretariat Complexes
- Make recommendations on general facility design and operation
- Coordinate Public Private Partnership activities in MDAs
- Create awareness and sensitization on identifying, prioritizing, selecting, and developing framework
for PPP projects
- Assess the current status and performance of key infrastructure in the OHCSF and other MDAs
- Provide enabling environment for private sector participation in the mandates of the OHCSF
- Participate in the negotiation of all PPP projects in the OHCSF using relevant financial models for
viability
- Monitor procurement arrangement for each of the participating parties in PPP projects
- Evaluate the OHCSF capital budget and suggest areas where PPP could be undertaken
