CIVIL SERVANTS DESERVE QUALITY HOUSES - HCSF

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan has emphasized the need to provide quality and affordable houses for civil servants to improve their welfare for effective service delivery.

The HCSF made this pronouncement during her working visit to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Mallam Mohammed Bello, in Abuja on Tuesday, 3^rd March, 2020.

Dr Yemi-Esan stated that over 50,000 public servants have enrolled on the Federal Integrated Staff Housing(FISH) Programme. This according to her, showed eagerness of Civil Servants for decent and affordable accommodation.

She therefore solicited for the support of FCT administration in making the dream of public servants a reality.

The FCT Minister, Mallam Mohammed Bello, in his response assured that the FCT administration will give all the needed support and collaboration to the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) in providing suitable accommodation to public servants.

The Honourable Minister however cautioned on the need for Federal Government to begin the consideration of high rise buildings for the construction of public servants houses due to shortage of suitable land space.
