HCSF HARPS ON AFFORDABILITY AND MAINTENANCE OF FACILITIES FOR CIVIL SERVANTS

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan has solicited for affordable houses that would be within the reach of an average Civil Servant.

Dr. Yemi-Esan made this request during a courtesy visit by the Acting Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Barr. Umar Gonto on Thursday, 5th March, 2020

The HCSF implored the management of the Federal Housing Authority to reduce the cost of the facilities meant for Civil Servants since Civil Servants are not entitled to loan facility that is above their salary earnings.

She disclosed that about Five Hundred (500) requests have been received from the Federal Loans Board awaiting affordable offer. This according to her shows the readiness of Civil Servants to be off-takers.

She however cautioned that Civil Servants deserve decent, quality and dignified edifices to be able to operate and function optimally in the course of delivering their services to the nation.

The HCSF also advised that maintenance outfit must be put in place for every facility meant for Civil Servants to ensure proper usage and durability.

Earlier in his speech, the Acting Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Federal Housing Authority, Barr. Umar Gonto thanked the HCSF for the warm reception. He solicited for collaboration of the OHCSF with FHA and promised to go extra mile in making sure that FHA provides affordable housing for Civil Servants.
