The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi- Esan has assured that the welfare of Civil Servants is of paramount importance to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
She disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen after the church thanksgiving service to mark the 2021 Public Service Week held on Sunday in Abuja.
She insisted that her office is working round the clock to ameliorate the plight of Civil Servants through a number of affirmative programmes.
One of such programmes is the Agricpreneural schemes to encourage serving Civil Servants to venture into agricultural business so as to supplement their income, thereby making them self-reliant.
This initiative is also aimed at making Civil Servants contribute to food self-sufficiency scheme of the Federal Government and help in the economic growth of the country.
The Federal Integrated Staff Housing Scheme, she added, is now being reinvigorated to serve Civil Servants better and make small scale houses affordable to them.
To ease the transportation problems faced by workers, Dr. Yemi Esan also said buses would soon be procured to ply all the satellite towns where Civil Servants reside.
In his sermon, the Pastor of Exousia Church of God, Pastor Kunle Shoyele charged Civil Servants to seek the face of God and be dedicated to the service of their fatherland. He also asked them to be sincere and diligent in their work.
