The Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HoS), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, MCIPM, has acknowledged the need for continued collaboration and partnership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) for the achievement of national developmental goals.
Dr. Yemi-Esan stated this in her goodwill message delivered at the opening ceremony of the 52nd annual conference of CIPM on Thursday, 26th November, 2020 via virtual meeting.
According to her, the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has recorded immense success from its continued collaboration with CIPM. She enumerated some of the successes to include series of capacity building programmes for public servants targeted at ensuring a seamless transition from Annual Performance Evaluation Report system (APER) to Performance Management System (PMS). One of the notable trainings is Job Objective setting workshop.
Speaking further, she added that the Institute is collaborating with the office on the implementation of Human Resource Module on Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) including the review of the Public Service Rules.
The HoS congratulated the Institute on its 1st Pan-African and virtual edition. She encouraged CIPM to uphold the highest standards of professionalism in Human Resource Management by continuously engaging in capacity building of its members.
The event which was declared open by the Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo had the theme “Reinvent: Exploring New Frontiers”
