HOS RECEIVES TECHNICAL COMMITTEE REPORT ON REVIEW OF PSR

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOS), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan on Friday, 27th November, 2020, received the technical report of the draft Public Service Rules (PSR). The report was presented by Chairman and Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Olusade Adesola. In her remarks, the HOS expressed her delight over the thorough work done within the short deadline. Dr. Yemi- Esan said she was particularly happy that the draft PSR was finally completed in view of the fact that the last review was in 2008. She said the dedication and commitment the committee put to the assignment despite the tall order of completion within six days is worthy of emulation by Civil Servants in the discharge of their duties. She promised that the report will be presented before the National Council on Establishment next week. The Chairman of the technical committee and Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Olusade Adesola in his presentation gave a brief remark on the methodology used. He also mentioned some additional inputs in the draft PSR. The inputs include current strategies in the Public Service such as Performance Management System (PMS), virtual meetings and talent sourcing.
