OHCSF TRAINS 1245 STAFF FOR OPTIMAL PRODUCTIVITY

The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has commenced a knowledge amplifier training workshop for all middle level officers in the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, today, Thursday 16th December, 2021, at the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Kubwa-Abuja.

The Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Common Service Office, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf, while declaring the workshop open, said the aim of the training workshop is to sharpen the skills and raise knowledge-base of all the staff of the office of the head of the civil service of the federation for optimal productivity, so as to build a professional Federal Civil Service.

 “For any organisation to attain its goals and objectives, it requires employees who are Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible and Citizen-centred (EPIC)” she added.

She further said, “all change-minded organizations must focus on consistent and continuous capacity building through training and retraining of its staff”.

She disclosed that the training is the second of the batches of trainings designed for officers in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation in the year 2021 training calendar, where a total of 1,245 middle level officers are being trained.

“With the series of dynamic topics outlined for this training, I am optimistic that all participants will graduate as renewed officers with improved capabilities to achieve the mandate and strategic goals of the OHCSF” she added.

Dr Yemi-Esan urged participants to demonstrate 100% punctuality, concentration, participation and commitment to every aspect of the training in order to achieve the set objectives.

The Director, Human resources management, Mr. Abdullahi Aliyu encouraged participants to justify their attendance at the training by improving their productivity and expertise in the discharge of their duties.
