The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan alongside members of the Body of Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service, honoured two of their own, who recently exited the Service, having served the country, meritoriously.
Dr Yerima Paul Tarfa and Mr. Edet Sunday Akpan retired as Federal Permanent Secretaries from the Ministries of Labour and Employment and Science, Technology and Innovation, respectively.
In a Valedictory Session held in their honour on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, Dr. Yemi-Esan described the duo as gentlemen to the core, who sailed diligently through their career with characteristics worthy of emulation. She said that they had maintained good working relationships with their different Ministers all through their service years and admonished serving Permanent Secretaries to take a cue from them.
While appreciating their contributions to the Service as aptly captured in their citations, the HoS prayed God to, abundantly, reward them and better their days ahead.
Earlier in their remarks, Permanent Secretaries, who spoke at the occasion, alluded to the fact that the two gentlemen are amiable personalities, whose wealth of experience would be greatly missed within the system. They congratulated and wished them more successes in their future aspirations.
Dr Tarfa hails from Adamawa State, while Mr. Akpan is a native of Akwa-Ibom State. Both are married with children.
