WALSON-JACK INSPECTS CBT COMPRO EXAM CENTRE, ENJOINS PUBLIC SERVANTS TO TAKE ICT AND DIGITALIZATION SERIOUSLY

The digitalization of work processes is a crucial factor in the repositioning of the Federal Civil Service for effective and optimal performance. To this end the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, has enjoined Public Servants across the nation to embrace technology and sharpen their skills in Information Communication Technology (ICT). 

Mrs Walson-Jack gave this charge during an inspection tour of the 2024 Compulsory Confirmation and Promotion Examination (COMPRO) Computer Based Test (CBT) for the senior category officers. 

Addressing journalists at the Ansar-ud- Deen Society Centenary Resource (CBT) Center, Maitama, Abuja, venue of the examination, the HCSF stated that under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025 (FCSSIP 25), digitalization is one of the pillars of the reform initiatives. She enjoined federal Civil Servants to step up their game in ICT and digitalization in order to succeed in the COMPRO CBT examination and add value to their jobs.

Mrs. Walson-Jack commended JAMB for their unflinching support through the years in providing the technical assistance being the foremost organization that provides the CBT facilities in Nigeria. 

She assured participants that her Office in collaboration with JAMB, has put necessary measures to ensure hitch-free and seamless exercise.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office (CMO)-OHCSF, Mrs. Fatima Mahmood described the management and administration of the CBT COMPRO examination for the senior category of public servants as a huge success despite the technical hitches experienced in some of the centres nationwide.

She also commended the comportment of the candidates for their cooperation in making the process run smoothly.

Mrs. Mahmood disclosed that the annual COMPRO exercise for 2024 senior category public servants was held across the nation, including the Federal Capital Territory, in about fifty (50) centers with a total number of 13,993 candidates who sat for the examination.
