WIMBIZ URGED HOS TO ENGAGE MORE WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

Women in Management, Business and Public Service, (WIMBIZ), has urged the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, to use her good office to engage and encourage greater representation of women in leadership positions in the Public Service.

The Chairperson of the body, Mrs Ngover Ihyembe-Nwankwo, gave the advice on Tuesday 30^th March, 2021, when she led a delegation of the organisation on a courtesy call to the Head of Service, in Abuja.

Ihyembe-Nwankwo stated that her appointment is a great source of inspiration and encouragement to other women to aspire leadership positions, adding that it will serve as a catalyst that elevates the status and influence of women and their contribution to nation building.

In her own response, the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan praised the organisation for helping women attain leadership positions.

She said that women go through a lot and therefore need the support of people, organisation like WIMBIZ to motivate and encourage them.
